The heart of the DaVaR program, the NetServer is a software and server hardware system that interfaces to your host database, providing plant information for testing and automatic host database updates with NetTest results from field testing. The NetServer retrieves host database information and prepares it for downloading to NetTest field units via a secure dial-up networking connection. Once testing is completed, tested and validated results are uploaded via a dial-up connection to the NetServer. The database is then updated using intelligent record interaction and extensible business rules. See more under features.
The NetTest Plus field controller is a portable, self-contained test system, including a ruggedized laptop computer, test head, internal batteries and DaVaR application software for high-speed bulk verification, conformance and pair recovery. The NetTest performs a variety of automated single and terminated tests in the field to validate loop records and to document conformance to engineering specifications. The DaVaR System then compares these test results against special transaction tables and reclassifies results to the correct status. Tables include bulk pair testing and recovery, database validation and cable pair transmission qualities. See more under features.
SuperDaVaR Plus expands on the NetTest Plus field controller and allows you to test two pairs at a time. It’s portability and range of tests are all the same as the NetTest field controller, with the advantage of doubling your technicians productivity and efficiency in the field. See more under features.
The NetDSL Bulk Pair VDSL Qualification System is the fastest and easiest bulk pair verification and wideband service qualification system for next generation triple play services. See more under features.
A portable, self-contained test system that provides a unique, single-ended testing process to automatically determine if a pair is qualified to support POTS, ADSL, ADSL2/2+ or VDSL services. See more under features.
A powerful solution for managing your entire plant conditioning process that allows your engineers and other workgroups to make effective decisions. See more under features.

NetTest Plus field controller is a portable, self-contained test system, for high-speed bulk verification, conformance and pair recovery.
NetTest field controllers are a family of products designed for OSP bulk pair testing and database verification in the field.
Additional components include the Expansion Unit, which adds testing capacity to the base NetTest system, and the Extended Test Access Module (ETAM), which provides 100 pair access for testing.
The base configuration includes an integrated test head, a ruggedized laptop computer, NetTest software and a 100-pair ETAM. Up to 10 ETAMs can be controlled by a single NetTest or Expansion Unit. Up to three Expansion Units can be controlled by a single NetTest.
The NetTest Controller is lightweight and portable, measuring 8"H x 14"W x 22"D (20 x 30 x 50 cm) and weighing just 20 lbs (9.1 kg). The laptop's docking station eliminates the need for multiple power and interface cables. On-board single pair testing capability makes it easy to perform manual investigations when needed.
With the NetTest you can choose battery or line power. A 12-V cigarette lighter adapter is included, and an auxiliary battery pack extends operating range to more than 10 hours. Operating line power range is 120-220 VAC, 50-60 Hz.
Scalable Design
The DaVaR NetTest is scaleable. A single controller can manage up to 10 ETAM units to test up to 1000 pairs at a time. In addition, the NetTest Expansion Unit can increase speed and/or throughput dramatically. Each NetTest Expansion Unit includes a 100 pair access module and can support up to nine ETAMs. Up to three Expansion Units can be controlled by a single NetTest controller, permitting high capacity testing up to 4000 pairs at a time sequentially, or fast testing of up to four pairs in parallel, up to 1000 pairs at a time.
Versatility
The DaVaR NetTest can be used in a variety of ways to manage your outside plant loop assets.
High-speed bulk qualification of lines for voice or broadband services, including identification and location of impairments and telephone number identification
Powerful Software
DaVaR NetTest software is a powerful, yet easy-to-use environment for operation of the NetTest controller, Expansion Units and associated ETAMs. Hosted on Windows 98, NetTest software features SuperLink multi-tasking technology for support of concurrent operations. This permits one
operator to complete two tasks at once, such as performing bulk pair tests and editing manual investigations.
NetTest uses a commandcCenter interface to make all capabilities available with the touch of a button. The test engine provides a detailed view of test results in real time. A built-in editor helps the operator perform analysis or generate different views of the data, including searches and filters based on telephone number or pair or record categories like "working" or "spare." A fully-relational database supplies robust and secure storage and enables powerful ad hoc reporting capability. More than 15 pre-configured reports are included, covering variances, recovery and management summaries. Information can be viewed on screen, printed or exported to other applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel or Access.
User-selectable test profiles allow operators to perform tests tailored to specific requirements, such as bulk pair recovery, qualification or crossbox refurbishment. Variables from which you can select include test parameters and pass/fail marginal thresholds.
What makes NetTest unique is its ability to upload and download loop database record information from the host system. NetTest software provides secure dial up and PPP interfaces to the NetServer to download data to be verified and upload verified pair records.
Front Tap Shoes
The Extended Test Access Module (ETAM), included with the DaVaR NetTest unit, expands the unit by 100 pairs. Additional ETAMs can be purchased if more than 100 pairs are to be scanned, expanding the NetTest up to 1000 pairs.
Fluke Networks manufactures more than 30 different types of central office and cross-connect front tap shoes for DaVaR and other OSP testing applications, including:
Customized configurations are also available.

Fluke Networks’ NetDSL System represents the latest advancement in copper cable testing equipment for performing bulk pair ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+ and VDSL qualification. NetDSL fully tests, pre-qualifies and documents the copper distribution network for ADSL2+ and VDSL service. The NetDSL System combines the unique ability to perform single-ended testing on both working and spare lines along with automatically updating the host database for DSL qualified pairs with the DaVaR NetServer. This unique ability to provide quick and accurate service level qualification on both working and spare pairs allows service providers to identify and target new customers for high-speed service, dramatically reducing customer acquisition costs and generating revenue faster.
Using a series of patented algorithms and testing techniques, NetDSL performs over 15 electrical and wideband tests on the copper pair to determine the level of service the pair can support. Automatically estimates upstream and downstream bandwidth for ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+ and VDSL services.
The NetDSL System helps remove the guess work in deploying bundle services on FTTx networks. NetDSL is quite simply the easiest and most cost effective solution to qualify and help condition your distribution plant. Fluke Networks and our staff of application support experts will demonstrate the NetDSL solution on-site to show "real-world" results in your plant. See how quickly the NetDSL solution can help you qualify the "last mile." Contact your local Fluke Networks representative or call 800-283-5853.
